Environmental Education Programs and Activities in All Seasons

We aim to help people discover, enjoy, understand, and preserve the incredible natural world that surrounds us.

Shetek Environmental Learning Center

Shetek Environmental Learning Center (SELC) is proud to offer educational programs and activities in all seasons. You’ll find here an ideal outdoor learning setting amongst the woods and lakeshore.

We thoughtfully design exciting curriculum centered in locally-based teaching methods and resources; lessons are adapted for all grade levels and designed to complement classroom curriculum. SELC will also align lessons to Minnesota state educational standards upon request as an added service to our schools.

An Experience Tailored to Suit Your Budget and Educational Needs

SELC provides a total living and learning experience. We create enthusiasm for hands on learning, provide many kinesthetic activities, enhance education in many subject areas, build classroom relationships, and encourage personal growth and discovery with each program.
