Shetek Lutheran Ministries is for people of all ages who want to spend time having fun in the beauty of God’s creation. We provide summer camp for youth and many programmed retreats for youth, adults, senior adults, women’s groups, men’s groups and families throughout the year.
Additionally, its setting provides an ideal location for your Retreats, Conferences, Church group meetings, Business & Board meetings, Family events, Weddings, Class Reunions & More! Rules for acceptance and participation in our USDA program are the same for everyone regardless of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or handicap.

Shetek’s location provides for year round fun and adventure in the great outdoors.
Explore the lake in a canoe, fish from the nearby causeway or perhaps off of our pontoon boat, cross-country ski across the lake to Lake Shetek State Park, enjoy a vigorous game of broomball on the lake, or take a stroll to the end of the island. But if you don’t need any more “doing” and instead need a place to relax and recharge—this beautiful place has you covered!
A Great Place For Retreats
Whether it is a Family Reunion, Choir, Church Council, Bible Study Group, Men’s or Women’s Group, Couple’s Retreat, or another group that would like to spend time in fun and fellowship, Shetek can provide a comfortable bed, hot showers, a cozy fire, delicious meals and friendly service!
The Lakota Retreat Center offers 17 bedrooms that are attractive, spacious, and take advantage of the view of the lake. Each room has a private bath, double and/or full size bed, table, and a cushioned chair. Spacious meeting rooms are a great place to hold worship, discussion, and relax.
